Students’ rights and obligations
To follow an educational programme and make use of the facilities at Leiden University, you first have to be enrolled as a student. Enrolling at the University and paying your tuition fees also gives you other rights. Your rights and obligations are defined in the University regulations.
Your main rights and obligations are included in the Student Charter.
These rights and obligations are further set out in other University regulations, such as your department’s Course and Examination Regulation. This regulation can be found on the website of your department.
