Initial registration for master’s students

Once you have been admitted, but before you can commence your studies in Leiden, you must make sure that you have completed all student registration formalities. Once your registration has been finalised we will send your student card to your Dutch address.

Registration for continuing master’s students

If you obtained a bachelor’s degree at Leiden University which automatically grants admission to a master’s programme in the same field, you do not have to apply for admission with the department. You need simply request registration via Studielink. Please consult our Dutch-language website for more information.

To start your master’s programme at the beginning of a semester, i.e. September or February, please visit the Studielink website and select ‘do not re-enrol’ for your bachelor’s programme. Then submit a new request for enrolment in your master’s programme.

Once your bachelor’s degree has been authenticated by Leiden University, you will be automatically admitted to the continuing master’s programme and will receive a digital direct debit authorization request for your tuition fees. Your enrolment will be official as soon as we receive your payment.
