Tuition fees are calculated per academic year (1 September to 31 August), and you will need to pay fees for each month that you are registered at the university. How much you are required to pay depends on your nationality and your study programme.
Students undertaking a second bachelor’s programme do not pay statutory tuition fee. Instead they pay an institutional fee, which is generally higher.

To apply for a degree programme at Leiden University, you will need to pay a non-refundable application fee of €100. This fee entitles you to apply for up to three programmes or specialisations within the same academic year. Once the university has received your application fee, we can begin processing your application.
